Exact start date of Women's Revolution is May 9, 1960. On that date, FDA approved first birth control pill.
Women finally gained reliable control of reproduction. They could decide if and when they would have children.
Women had a new freedom making them equal to or better than men.
In 1960, there were 2 women members of U.S. Senate. There are now 21 women Senators.
Obviously the "Pill" did not directly cause this increase. But, it gave women independence to achieve.

It is now 57 years since the "Pill" was available. Let me reflect on the impact, by taking a brief look at how it affected me, as a man.
My first wife and I graduated from college in 1969. She wanted to pursue a career in journalism and relied on the birth control pill to prevent pregancy.
While my career was mediocore. My wife soared.
She started at a small radio station and quickly moved up to a TV news editor at a major network. At age 30, she decided to have a child and stopped taking the "Pill".
Our family lived in a large home near excellent schools. With our two incomes (her's was much larger) we enjoyed a good life.
This brief story has been repeated in millions of families.

Where is Women's Revolution headed?
Cannot predict future, but I will comment on recent events.
There have been several recent allegations against prominent men sexually harrassing women.
These charges are no longer ignored. Many of the men have been fired.
This is part of the Women's Revolution.
Women now hold important positions and are gaining more respect.
Women are Equal and Better.
